18 July 2013 – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai informed the Department of Foreign Affairs that the 12th edition of the Ramadan Forum continues with inspirational lectures delivered by leading religious scholars on what the Islamic faith means within the lives of its many followers. This year, it will continue to witness the inclusion of special foreign language lectures in English, Tagalog, Urdu and Malayalam within its set of scheduled sessions.
On July 20, a Tagalog language session will be conducted by renowned Filipino Muslim scholar, Rashid Indasan. The session will be held at the Ramadan Forum’s new home in the Zabeel Hall at Dubai World Trade Centre.The free-entry lecture will start at 10:00 p.m and last for over two hours.
Exploring the role the Islamic religion plays in the lives of Muslims living and practising their faith in the modern world, the Ramadan Forum’s Tagalog session is entitled “The Challenge of Qur’an.”
The Ramadan Forum, which began on July 12, is organized by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. The Forum continues with daily sessions every evening at Dubai World Trade Centre until July 23.
