22 July 2013 - A briefing on the trade exhibit Dexign Global Philippines was held at the Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam on July 08.

Dexign Global Philippines will be held simultaneously with Manila FAME at the SMX Convention Centre, Mall of Asia Complex, in Pasay City, from 17 to 20 October 2013.

The event will feature furniture and furnishings, home accents, fashion accessories, jewelry, apparel and textiles, among others.

In his welcome remarks, Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Nestor Z. Ochoa thanked all the participants who came to the briefing which was conducted by members of the Center for International Trade, Expositions, and Missions (CITEM). He noted that Dexign Global Philippines will provide an opportunity for Bruneian artisans and craftsmen to showcase their products before global buyers and interact with other exhibitors from the ASEAN region.

In her presentation, CITEM Deputy Executive Director Ma. Lourdes Mediran encouraged Bruneians to participate in the Dexign Global Philippines, the Philippines’s first international design exhibition which provides a venue for all participants from the ASEAN region to connect with global buyers.

Ms. Mediran noted that the simultaneous staging of Dexign Global Philippines with Manila FAME “provides a fertile marketplace for creativity and profitability, as buyers and exhibitors can tap into both the Philippine and the international markets in one venue.” END
