12 August 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann V. Paez met with Polish defense ministry officials, namely Col. Jaroslaw Truszkowski and Capt. Robert Osypowicz of the Eastern Branch of the International Military Affairs Department of Poland’s Ministry of National Defense on July 25. They discussed defense and security cooperation between the Philippines and Poland as well as issues of mutual interest.

The Polish defense officials reiterated the invitation of Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak to Defense Secretary Voltaite Gazmin to the 21st International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) which will be held in Kielce, Poland from 2 to 5 September 2013.

Poland recently assigned a Military Attaché for the Philippines and  on July 31, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of National Defense of the Republic of the Philippines and the Ministry of Defense of Poland Concerning the Development of Bilateral Relations on Defense was signed by Defense Secretary Gazmin and Polish Ambassador Adam Jelonek at the Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
