15 August 2013 – The launch of the new book “San Lorenzo’s Impressario” by Fr. Erno Diaz, a Filipino priest stationed in Staten Island, New York, was held on July 29 at the Philippine Center in New York’s Lobby-Gallery.

Gracing the event were Consul General Mario L. de Leon, Jr. who delivered an inspirational message, popular Filipino broadcast journalist and radio and television personality Karen Davila, Filipino-American newscaster Nina Pineda of ABC 7 Eyewitness News which is one of the premiere news programs in New York.

Other guests included members of the Filipino-American Community and parishioners of Fr. Diaz from Staten Island and from other parts of New York,

The book contains Fr. Diaz’s recollections of the different activities and projects undertaken in the establishment of the San Lorenzo Chapel in New York City as well as the growing devotion to the Philippine saint. END
