5 September 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh recently conducted its 13th Embassy on Wheels (EOW) consular outreach in Al Khobar this year, completing a total of 1,234 consular transactions with the Filipino community there.
The five-member Embassy team was led by Consul-General Marshall Louis Alferez. The mission, which was held from August 30 to 31, processed 778 passport applications, 123 passport extensions, 13 “lost passport” services, 45 birth registrations, and 275 notarial and authentication services.
In addition, 1,600 new passports were released during the two-day activity.
The team was augmented by four passport encoders from the Filipino community in the Eastern Region.
Consul-General Alferez expressed appreciation to the Filipino community in the Eastern Region, especially the pool of volunteers, who have continued to help make the Embassy’s consular missions successful.
The Embassy on Wheels will again return to Al Khobar from September on 13 to 14 at the Al Jazeera International School in Dammam to extend various consular services. END
