13 September 2013 - A six-member team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted an outreach mission in Boise, Idaho in partnership with the Filipino American Association of Idaho, Inc. from August 30 to 31.
Boise is the capital and most populous city of the state of Idaho with the 2010 US Census Statistics indicating that from 1,614 Filipinos in 2000, there are now approximately over 3,000 Filipinos living in that state.
The outreach mission saw applicants coming not only from Boise and other parts of Idaho, but also from neighboring states who came to avail themselves of the consular services the six-member team extended such as passport renewal, notarials, civil registry, and dual citizenship services.
Conducted once every other year, this outreach mission is the fourth outreach mission of the Consulate General in Idaho. It is also the twenty-fifth outreach mission of the calendared 41 outreach missions arranged for 2013.
Consul General Marciano A. Paynor, Jr and the members of the Consulate extended their appreciation to the community partners / organizers of its consular outreach missions for their cooperation and spirit of volunteerism towards the successful realization of these missions. “The support of our community partners is vital to our goal to reach out and assist our kababayans through these outreach missions,” Consul General Paynor emphasized.
