13 September 2013 - A 25-member business delegation from Davao organized by the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCI) visited Singapore from August 19 to 23 to gain insights into the country’s business landscape in anticipation of ASEAN’s economic integration in 2015, as well as to take advantage of networking and benchmarking opportunities in the city-state.
The delegation, which included owners and managers of educational, food and beverage, travel and logistics businesses called on Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Minda Calaguian-Cruz, after which she hosted them to a Singaporean dinner at her residence. Also invited to the dinner were guests from the Kühne Foundation-NUS Education Centre for Humanitarian Logistics Asia Pacific and ASKI Global Ltd, to enable them to touch base with the delegation for possible collaboration.
The delegation also met with the Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), and the National Environment Agency, and visited the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority, before continuing to Malaysia. END
