
17 September 2013 - Several Polish defense manufacturers expressed interest in providing the military requirements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) which is modernizing its hardware to attain a minimum credible deterrent capability.

Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann V. Paez met with their representatives during the 21st International Defense Exhibition (MSPO) and 19th International Logistics Fair (LOGYSTIKA) held in Kielce last September 02.

These included KOMECH Zaktand Obrobk Metall, Polska; Centrum Techniki Morskiej, S.A.(CTM) ; Naval Shipyard Gdynia; RADMOR, techno marine, pl.; PIMCO Sp. z.o.o Polska; Konsorjum Wojskowe Zaktardy Lotnicze; WB Electronics; and Turkey’s Otokar.
Ambassador Paez also met with the officials of PZL Swidnik S.A. of Augusta Westland which provided eight Sokol helicopters to the Philippine Air Force (PAF) costing approximately US$ 65 million and whose delivery was completed last February. END
