18 September 2013 - One of the largest importers and manufacturers of coconut products sourced from the Philippines introduced a wide new range of organic and fair trade product lines at a British retail giant’s flagship store in central London last September 12.

TIANA Fair Trade Organics, a market leader and award winner in the health food sector, broadened its range of Philippines-sourced goods available in the United Kingdom (UK) with the introduction of five new products at Holland & Barrett, Europe's leading retailer of Vitamins, Minerals and Herbal Supplements.

The product launch, organized in cooperation with the Philippine Trade and Investment Centre (PTIC)-UK, was led by Philippine Ambassador Enrique Manalo, Philippine Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Ponciano Manalo Jr. and PTIC-UK Director Kristine Umali, together with TIANA Directors Tanya and John Harris and Holland & Barrett’s Senior Manager Mohamed Akasha.

The new health products introduced by TIANA were Organic Coconut Water canned within three hours of opening of fresh young coconuts, an Organic Exquisite Omega 3 Spreadable that can serve as a butter substitute, Anti-Ageing and Anti-Drying Moisturizers, and an Intensive Hydration Treatment for hair.  

In addition to sourcing its raw materials from the Philippines, TIANA’s Fair Trade Project has been benefitting coconut farmers and local communities since 2009.

In his message, Ambassador Manalo stated that the coconut products deliver on social responsibility, as well as on quality and taste.   “The Philippines, the UK and the rest of the world are therefore all looking forward to these new organic product lines.” he said.  END
