Update on Filipina Murdered in Sweden

01 October 2018 – A two-member team from the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, Norway, is expected to arrive in Stockholm today to assist in the repatriation of the remains of our murdered kababayan, Mailyn Conde Sinambong, a mother of two based in Kista, Sweden.

Consul General Ma. Elena Algabre will be assisting the Norway-based maternal aunt of Mailyn in making arrangements for the repatriation of her remains and in gathering more information about her death from police authorities.

Consul General Algabre will also talk to the lawyer appointed by the Swedish government to handle the murder case against Mailyn’s actor-husband, who remains in custody.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano had earlier given instructions to the Office of Migrant Workers Affairs, the Embassy in Oslo, and the DFA Consular Office in Cebu to extend all possible assistance to Mailyn’s family and ensure that justice is served. END
