Update No. 4 on Case of Murdered Filipina in Sweden

03 October 2018 – A memorial mass was held in Stockholm on Tuesday evening for Mailyn Conde Sinambong.

The mass, which was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, was held at the Heliga Trefaldighets Catholic Church and was concelebrated by Fr. Ron Toledo and Fr. Gabe Baldostamon of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus.

It was participated in by Consul General Ma. Elena Algabre, Mailyn’s aunt Lugina Eliasen and members of the Filipino Community, including friends of Mailyn.

Consul General Algabre is expected to meet with police officials and the prosecutor handling the case on Wednesday to get more information on the circumstances surrounding Mailyn’s death and to discuss arrangements for the repatriation of her remains. Consul General Algabre will also consult with a family lawyer to discuss custody of Mailyn’s two children—a 10-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl. END
