Bulletin: On Crimea School Shooting

18 October 2018 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) extends its sympathies to the families of the 20 persons who were killed in today’s shooting at Kerch Polytechnic College in Crimea and hopes for the fast recovery of the almost 40 injured.

In his report to the Home Office, Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta said that no Filipinos were reported to among the casualties in the incident.

Ambassador Sorreta said an 18-year old student was responsible for the shooting. Authorities said he later killed himself at the site of the attack. Three days of mourning in Crimea have been declared from Thursday. END
