On the Release of Acquitted OFW Jennifer Dalquez

01 November 2018 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomes the release from prison later today of an overseas Filipina worker in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that the Philippine Government was able to save from death row.

The Department has been informed by Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Hjayceelyn Quintana that UAE authorities are coordinating with the Philippine Embassy for Jennifer’s flight home this evening.

A native of General Santos City, Jennifer was sentenced to death in 2015 after she was found guilty of murdering her employer. She was later acquitted after the Philippine Embassy appealed her case.
