Bulletin: On the Train Crash in Turkey
13 December 2018 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) extends its condolences to the families of the seven fatalities of a high-speed train crash in Ankara this morning, which also injured 46 others.
Ambassador to Turkey Ma. Rowena Sanchez reported to the DFA that there are no Filipinos among the dead or injured during the incident.
Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin said in a televised address that the train was on its way to Turkey's central province of Konya. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, and technical investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash. END
