Bulletin: On the Filipino Student Who Drowned in New Zealand
15 January 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) extends its condolences to the loved ones of Filipino student Kent Espinosa, who drowned in New Zealand, last Friday.
Ambassador Jesus Domingo of the Philippine Embassy in Wellington reported that the 26-year-old Espinosa, who was on his school break from Auckland, was swimming with his friends at Whangarei Falls in Northland, New Zealand, when he drowned.
Ambassador Domingo said the Embassy is coordinating with New Zealand authorities for the issuance of appropriate visas for his sister who will fly from the Philippines to bring home his remains. END
