Bulletin: Introductory Official Visit of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. to Singapore

07 May 2019 — Upon the invitation of Singaporean Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. will undertake his Official Introductory Visit to the Republic of Singapore from 07 to 10 May 2019.

Secretary Locsin and Minister Balakrishnan will hold a bilateral meeting to review and chart the future direction of cooperation, as both countries mark the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations this year. Secretary Locsin is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

This will be Secretary Locsin's first bilateral visit to Singapore, having previously visited the country in connection with the ASEAN meetings in 2018 during Singapore’s Chairmanship.

While in Singapore, the Secretary will also visit the Philippine Embassy in Singapore to observe the conduct of overseas voting in connection with the 2019 Midterm Elections. END
