Update No.2 on the Death of a Filipina in Kuwait
21 May 2019 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) expresses its condolences to the family of the late OFW Ma. Constancia Lago Dayag, who was pronounced dead on arrival after being rushed to Al-Sabah Hospital, Kuwait on 14 May 2019.
Embassy Charge d'Affaires Mohd. Noordin Pendosina N. Lomondot has also met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait to seek assistance in expediting the release of the forensic report, which is usually processed within four to six weeks.
The DFA will shoulder the cost of the shipment of remains of the late OFW Dayag from Kuwait to her hometown in Cauayan, Isabela.
The DFA, through the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, has hired a lawyer, who has already filed a criminal case. The Department will continue to provide legal and other assistance to the next-of-kin of the late OFW Dayag. END
