Update on the Filipino Car Crash Fatalities in Singapore
03 January 2019 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) received reports from the Philippine Embassy in Singapore that only two of the four Filipinos injured in the Lucky Plaza car crash incident on 29 December 2019 remain in hospital confinement.
The two others were released on 30 December 2019. The shipment of the remains of the two Filipinos who died in the incident were completed early this morning.
The DFA expresses its gratitude to Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower Senior Parliamentary Secretary Madame Low Yen Ling for visiting those injured in the hospital.
The DFA also thanks private groups and individuals in Singapore who not only have expressed their sympathy and concern for the victims and their families but also have taken concrete initiatives to assist them.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and its Embassy will continue to extend the necessary assistance and support for the victims and their next of kin, in cooperation with the Singaporean authorities. END
