04 March 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, confirms reports of a second and third Filipino national who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Singapore.

The second Filipino national was confirmed on 29 February 2020 to have contracted the disease while the third Filipino national’s case was announced on 02 March 2020. Both patients are confined in a hospital and are receiving appropriate treatment at the Singapore Government's health facilities.

On the other hand, the first Filipino national diagnosed as COVID-19-positive, has been given a clean bill of health and was discharged from the hospital on 28 February. This brings the total of COVID-19-positive Filipinos in Singapore back down to two.

The Embassy is in close coordination with the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Singapore and stands ready to extend assistance to the COVID-19-positive Filipino nationals as needed. END
