Bulletin: On the 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake in Turkey’s Aegean Region
PASAY CITY 31 October 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Ankara, reported that a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey’s Aegean region on 30 October 2020.
The Philippine Embassy in Ankara sought out news from the Filipino community groups under its jurisdiction and has so far not received any reports of casualties or injuries.
The DFA, through the Philippine Embassy, continues to monitor the situation and stands ready to assist fellow Filipinos affected by the earthquake.
There are a total of 3,063 Filipinos in Turkey as of December 2019. END
