PUBLIC ADVISORY: Retention of MECQ in the Province of Cagayan until 31 May 2021
27 May 2021 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution No. 116-C dated 22 May 2021, the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) status of the Province of Cagayan has been retained from 23 May to 31 May 2021. The Consular Office in Tuguegarao City (CO Tuguegarao) will continuously have skeleton work teams, for the duration of the retention of MECQ until 31 May 2021, to attend to emergency or urgent cases only, such as medical emergencies or returning OFWs with documents supporting proof of urgency (e.g. medical certificate, employment contract plus valid residence permit or working visa).
CO Tuguegarao will resume its regular operations on Tuesday, 01 June 2021.
Affected applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations must secure another appointment by emailing CO Tuguegarao (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with the following information:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Original appointment date and time
- Preferred date and time of new appointment
The new appointment may be on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 09 June 2021 to 08 July 2021 during the CO's regular operation hours (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
