14 July 2014 – The Department of Foreign Affairs would like to inform overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), immigrants, seafarers, dual citizens and students studying abroad who are about to leave for overseas, and who are not yet registered as overseas voters, that they may now register at the newly launched Overseas Voter Registration Center (OVRC) in the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) Macapagal Avenue, ASEANA Business Park.

If said registrants need to renew their passports, they no longer have to set an appointment to apply for renewal.  Their overseas voter registration stub issued by the OVRC will allow them access to the Passport Division’s Courtesy Lane.

In addition, all Filipino citizens who expect to be abroad during the 30-day (April 9 – May 9, 2016) overseas voting period for the 2016 presidential elections, are at least 18 years of age on 9 May 2016, and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register as an overseas voter in all Philippine Foreign Service Posts (FSPs) including the three (3) Manila Economic and Cultural Offices (MECO), Office of Consular Affairs, Macapagal Avenue, ASEANA Business Park, and at other COMELEC approved registration centers outside of the FSPs or in the Philippines.
