28 November 2014 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) wishes to inform the public that it has started implementing a provisional express processing scheme for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) on November 24 at all DFA Regional Consular Offices (RCOs).

 

In order to avail themselves of express processing, OFWs must present either of the following sets of documents apart from the usual passport application requirements:

1.    Job Order confirmed/certified by the POEA; OR

2.    Job Order approved and certified by a Labor Attaché AND authenticated/acknowledged by a consular officer at a Philippine embassy or consulate-general

 

In view of this, below are the provisional releasing schedules at RCOs:

The DFA would like to assure the public that the 10-working-day express processing and 20-working-day regular processing for passport applications in RCOs will be returned once the newly procured passport printing machines have been properly tested and installed.
