PHL Consulate General in Guangzhou Conducts Seminar on Magna Carta of Women

The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou conducted a seminar on Republic Act No. 9710 also known as “The Magna Carta of Women” on December 16 for members of the Filipino community in Guangzhou, mostly women. The purpose of the seminar was to apprise the community of the provisions of the Magna Carta, and to empower Filipino women to understand and stand up for their rights. The resource person for the seminar was Ms. Kristine M. Catacutan, the Consulate’s Gender and Development focal person. Following the seminar, certificates of attendance were handed out by Consul General Marie Charlotte Tang to all attendees.
