PH Embassy in Riyadh Joins 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women 

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh joined the observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on 25 November 2018 to 12 December 2018 with the theme “VAW-Free Community Starts with Me”.

To express support to the campaign, an advocacy streamer was displayed at the Embassy while its personnel wore orange on 12 October 2018.

Briefers of the Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as “Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004” were distributed to Embassy’s clients to create awareness of the VAWC law and the protection and remedies it provides to survivors/victims.

The Embassy also conducted a lecture/seminar on RA 9262 where three resource persons shared their expertise and experience in handling VAWC cases. (Riyadh PE photos)
