The Hague Womens Month

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in The Hague celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD) on 08 March 2019 with its whole-day distribution of IWD’s symbolic mimosa flowers and copies of Republic Act No. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women to all women applicants for consular services.

During its month-long observance of the Philippine National Women’s Month this year, the Embassy offers coffee, tea and candies to all women applicants for consular services through its “Serbisyo Para kay Juana” program.

Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda also issued an office order on “Purple Fridays,” enjoining all personnel to wear purple all Fridays of March as advocates of women’s rights and gender equality.
