PH Embassy in Riyadh Joins 2019 Women’s Month Celebration

RIYADH 27 March 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh joined the celebration of the 2019 National Women’s Month with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women”.

Every Thursday of the month of March, all Embassy personnel wore purple attire in support of #PurpleThursdays Initiative.

During the flag raising ceremony on Sundays, a female Embassy personnel shares her thoughts about women empowerment in support of #JuanaSays campaign by the Philippine Commission on Women.

A “Serbisyo Para kay Juana” program was held on 07 March 2018, at the Consular and Assistance to Nationals Sections, wherein all women and children clients were accorded priority status in the services they seek from the Embassy.

Free chocolates were also given away by Embassy personnel to women clients in the spirit of celebrating Women’s Day.

As a culminating activity, a locally produced film entitled “Exit Re-entry: An OFW Story of True Events” will be shown on 27 March 2019 at the Embassy lobby. END
