DND Participates in the 16th Shangri-La Dialogue
Department of National Defense Undersecretary Ricardo David speaks during the 4th Plenary of the 16th Shangri-La Dialogue on June 04, 2017. The Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD), organized by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), is widely considered as Asia’s premier defense summit that brings together top defense and armed forces officials of countries around the world. This year’s SLD focused on pressing security issues including, among others, extremist terrorism, the situation in the Korean peninsula, cyber threats, the South China Sea and climate change.
