27 December 2018 - The Philippines and Saudi Arabia today agreed to further strengthen their bilateral labor cooperation mechanisms.

 

Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola and Saudi Labor and Social Development Vice Minister for Labor Dr. Abdullah Nasser Abuthnain and Deputy Minister for Policies Dr. Ahmed A. AlZahrani, came to an understanding during the meeting to look into how they could further improve existing arrangements that would ensure the well-being of the almost 1 million Filipinos working in the Kingdom. 

 

Undersecretary Arriola, who is on an official visit to Jeddah and Riyadh, was accompanied in the meeting by Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan Alonto and other Embassy officials. END
