On the Car Attack in Tokyo

02 January 2018 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has been informed that there are no Filipinos among the nine persons injured when a driver deliberately drove his car into a crowd of New Year revelers in Central Tokyo on Tuesday. 
The information was conveyed by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo after checking with Japanese authorities. The Embassy said the nine victims sustained minor to serious injuries after a 21-year-old man deliberately drove his car into the crowds gathered in Harajuku district. 
The driver was immediately taken into custody by authorities who are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. END
