On the Train Accident in Denmark

 
02 January 2018 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is monitoring the aftermath of a train accident in Denmark on Wednesday to check if there are Filipinos among the six people reported killed and 16 injured in the incident. 
Ambassador to Denmark Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia reported to the Home Office that Philippine Honorary Consul General Poul Krogh is checking with Danish authorities if any of the 12,000 members of the Filipino Community in Denmark are among the victims of the accident. 
Ambassador Batoon-Garcia said the accident on the Green Belt Bridge connecting the islands of Zealand and Funen involved a commuter train and a freight train. END
