Bulletin: On Three Filipinas Arrested in Thailand

17 January 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is checking on the condition of three Filipinas who were arrested in Pattaya for raising funds for a children’s charity.

Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo B. Aragon said the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok has already reached out to the Pattaya police to arrange a visit with the women as soon as possible. She added the Embassy will extend the necessary assistance to them.

The women were detained while they were fund-raising in front of a restaurant on Phettrakul in Bang Lamung district. The trio claimed to represent the Children’s Joy Foundation. END
