Update on the Case of Missing Filipina in Bali

22 February 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) continues to coordinate with authorities in Indonesia to determine the whereabouts of Ella Paaño—the Filipina tourist who went missing in Bali on 25 December.

In his report to the Home Office, Ambassador to Indonesia Leehiong Wee reported that the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta remains in touch with authorities in Bali who are investigating the case.

Ambassador Wee said police in Bali have visited the places Paaño stayed in and the people she met while in the island. He also said that Bali police authorities have promised to send a full report on the status of their investigation. END
