Public Advisory for Filipinos Traveling to Singapore

17 May 2019 — Due to the increasing number of Filipinos who find themselves in need of urgent medical attention while visiting Singapore, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) encourages travelers and holidaymakers to secure, prior to departure, a travel insurance with medical coverage.

A travel insurance provides protection from any unforeseen circumstances, such as medical treatment. It guarantees medical coverage, thereby easing the burden on the part of the traveler, his/her family and friends in case of emergency.

Filipino travelers are encouraged to consult with their travel agents or visit the website of their airline of choice for more information about the benefits of a travel insurance. END
