Bulletin: Update On the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship Docked in Yokohama, Japan

06 February 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, is working with the Japanese authorities in providing all necessary assistance to the Filipinos still onboard the MV Diamond Princess, which is currently docked at Yokohama Harbor under a 14-day quarantine period.

The assistance provided includes provision of food, medicine, masks, and other supplies.

The Embassy also provided its Assistance-to-Nationals hotline phone number and email, so Filipinos on the ship will be able to contact the Embassy directly with their concerns and requests.

As of 11 a.m. on 06 February 2020, another group of 10 people onboard the Diamond Princess tested positive for 2019 Novel Corona Virus Acute Respiratory Disease (2019-nCoV ARD).
