Statement: On the Untimely Demise of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse

PASAY CITY, 12 July 2021 – On behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, the Department wishes to convey its most sincere condolences to the Republic of Haiti on the untimely demise of President Jovenel Moïse.

The Filipino people share Haiti’s sentiments of loss and sorrow as together we remember his life of dedicated service to his country and people.

The Philippines stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Haiti during this time of mourning.
