PUBLIC ADVISORY: Temporary Suspension of Operations in the DFA Consular Office in Tacloban City on 12 January 2023

12 January 2023 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that its Consular Office in Tacloban City (CO Tacloban) is closed today, 12 January 2023 due to inclement weather condition and the City of Tacloban’s Executive Order No. 01-03-2023 Series of 2023 dated 12 January 2023.

CO Tacloban will resume its regular operations on Friday, 13 January 2023.

Affected applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations will be accommodated from until 13 February 2023 (Monday to Friday except holidays) during CO’s regular operation hours (09:00AM to 4:00PM).

All applications should be made in person by the applicant except under certain circumstances (e.g. documents filed by his/her immediate kin.

Applications not paid within 24 hours shall be disposed of.
