Bangkok donation from Prince and Princess of Thailand

22 November 2013 - The donation of humanitarian aid to the victims of the typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) from HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralonkorn and HRH Princess Srirasmi of the Kingdom of Thailand were symbolically turned-over to the Philippines through a ceremony held last November 18 at the Royal Thai Air Force Base in Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok.

On behalf of Their Royal Highnesses, Air Vice Marshal Sornchai Chuwalinsak presided over the turn-over ceremonies to the Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia. The Ambassador took the opportunity to express her profound appreciation for the support provided by Their Royal Highnesses. The ceremony was witnessed by the base commander and other officials of the Thai Royal Air Force, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and members of the media.

Part of the above donation were transported to Mactan International Airport on November 19 aboard two Royal Thai Air Force C-130 planes and the rest will be brought by a Royal Thai Navy vessel which will depart soon.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Batoon-Garcia answered a few queries from members of the media. END
