22 November 2013 – Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie promises aid to typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims during the celebration to honor Filipino-American World War II veterans on November 16 at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu.

Senator Daniel Akaka, co-sponsor of the Filipino Veterans Equity bill, appeals to the audience to support efforts to help typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims.

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell talks about Hawaii’s strong ties to the Philippines and likewise made an appeal for donations. END
