28 November 2013- Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. and his wife, Madame Yoko Ramos-Vingno, together with the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy attended a special mass offered for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) on November 17 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Pretoria, South Africa. 

The mass was officiated by Fr. Victor Phalana, the administrator of the Cathedral and the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Pretoria.

During his speech, Ambassador Vingno gave thanks to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and the Archdiocese of Pretoria for dedicating the celebration of the Holy Eucharist to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).  He also acknowledged the expression of concern and offers of support from individuals and groups in South Africa. 

The mass was attended by members of the Filipino community and the South African public. END
