Agana Tan Holdings

03 December 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in Agana reported that the Tan Holdings Corporation and CTSI on Guam donated a total of US$27,874.00 and US$25,200.00, respectively, for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Philippines.

 

On November 20, Mr. Jerry Tan, Executive Vice-President of Tan Holdings Corporation and CEO, CTSI Logistics, personally came to the Consulate for the ceremonial turn-over of their donation to Consul General Bayani V. Mangibin. Mr. Tan was accompanied by Mr. Glicerio D. Arago, Senior Vice President and Chief Finance Officer of Tan Holdings Corporation, Mr. Danny Lim of CTSI Logistics,  and Ms. Lany Camero, Engineering Manager of Fiesta Resort Guam.

 

Mr. Tan explained that the money was derived from the contributions of the personnel and staff of Tan Holdings Corporation and CTSI which were matched by the management. He said that the US$ 27,874.00 will be donated to the World Food Programme for the typhoon victims in the central Philippines while the US$ 25,200.00 will be as CTSI Relief Fund for the typhoon victims. The Fund will be managed by the CTSI Logistics Corporate Office in Manila and will directly benefit the survivors in the form of relief, aid/support, other direct immersion activities and rebuilding projects.

 

On behalf of the Consulate and the typhoon victims, Consul General Mangibin conveyed thanks to Mr. Jerry Tan, their executive staff and employees for presenting their check donations intended for the victims of the super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Philippines. He also said that these generous donations will go a long way to help our severely affected Filipino brothers and sisters in the Philippines and will also give them hope and inspiration to rise from this tragedy.
