05 December 2013 - On November 12, Pusong Pinoy Association (PPA) President, Ms. Sheen Kathrine V. Arcala, accompanied by the Association’s Board of Trustees Chairperson, Ms. Lolita C. Victorio; Vice President, Mr. Bernard Mercado; Treasurer TJ Emmanuel L. Barilla; Auditor Edna Calusin and PROs Ceasar Villanueva and Tirso Persia, turned over to Ambassador Alex V. Lamadrid the PPA’s cash donation for the benefit of the victims of the recent earthquake that hit Bohol, Cebu and other areas in Visayas and Mindanao, PPA requested that their donation in the amount of US$2,000.00 be sent to the Philippine Red Cross.

The turnover was witnessed by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Ralf G. Roldan, Administrative Officer Anita P. Dela Cruz, Public Information Officer Nadjefah A. Mangondaya, ATN Officer Raymund C. Ondiano, Assistant Communications Officer Clifford V. Legal and Administrative Assistant Angelita D. Agbakoko.

Ms. Arcala mentioned that PPA will again raise funds for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

Ambassador Lamadrid expressed sincere appreciation to PPA for their initiative in raising funds to donate to our less-fortunate “kababayans” back home. Ambassador Lamadrid added that the PPA donation will be immediately sent to the' Department of Foreign Affairs, for turnover to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Ms. Arcala, in turn, thanked Ambassador Lamadrid for his assistance to the PPA, as well as the support of the whole Embassy family to their activities. END
