02 January 2014 - A benefit concert for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) was held in the Salle des Rencontres Internationales at the Princess Grace Theater in Monaco on December 14, 2013. The one-woman concert, organized by the Philippine Association in Monaco and produced by AC Events, entitled Concert for a Cause featured Ms. Grelaine Dimple Pangan, a local Filipino artist who lives in Monaco. The audience danced and sang along to various popular songs such as David Guetta’s Titanium, Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger and Bruno Mars’ Heaven. Other Monaco-based Filipino artists joined Dimple on stage at various parts of the program. These Filipinos include Ma. Claire de Guzman, Ma France Abila, Jenamir Garcia, Ron Yambao, Jazlyn Clerecy, Angela Regala and Manuel Manongsong. Attending the event from the Philippine Embassy was Third Secretary and Vice Consul André Peter C. Estanislao.

A total of 2,120.00 Euros was collected during the evening and will go to World Vision France. At the end of the concert, Mrs. Alice Reyes, Vice President of the Philippine Association in Monaco announced to everyone that the Monegasque Red Cross has also donated 10,000.00 Euros that will also be turned over to World Vision.  END
