13 March 2014- The Philippine Ladies Group Foundation (PLGF) organized in Bangkok a gala show and musical concert last March 2 to raise funds for Pilar Island in Cebu and Estancia town in Iloilo, which were ravaged by super-typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).  In brief remarks during the event, Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia thanked the PLGF for conceptualizing the project.  She added that on the road to recovery, every help is welcome, but more importantly, that help will continue to come until the recovery is complete.

Volunteering their talent and time to this worthy cause were some of the best names in Thailand’s entertainment, music and dance industry. They included the ever popular Thai band Nuvo featuring Jirayu "Jo" Wattanasin, Saharat "Kong" Sangkapreecha, Norasak "John" Rattanaveroj, Peter Anthony Hammond, Surachai Sunthorntada and Chayuth Burakamkovit; top-rated Beatles cover band, The Beatlenuts, featuring Chai Komlertkul, Paul Bekeana, Krit Choktippattana and Robert Dila; The Sweet Inspiration Band, an all-Filipino band that is also the in-house band of The Landmark Hotel in Bangkok, The Lighthouse Band, Ms. Gail Dila, Ms. Lorna Cornelio, Ms. Sally Alexander, Ms. Margie Amorsolo & Mr. Sulbert Orcullo, and Mr. Erie De la Cruz.
