DFA Consular Office Observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month

PAMPANGA 03 November 2023 - In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023, the DFA Office in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, organized an information dissemination and health drive program for passport and authentication applicants on 26 October 2023. This program was conducted by the CO’s Health Coordinator and registered nurse, Airish B. Alfaro-Angeles.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting numerous Filipinas. Information flyers emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention of this disease were distributed to applicants. While awaiting their turn for CO’s passport and authentication services, a total of twenty-four (24) female and three (3) male applicants took advantage of the free blood pressure and sugar level checks.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is celebrated every October to raise awareness of the risks and prevention of the disease, particularly among women. END
