13 June 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Moscow, led by Ambassador Alejandro B. Mosquera and leaders of Filipino community organizations in Russia commemorated the 116th Anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 12 through a flag raising ceremony followed by a simple breakfast at the Ambassador’s residence.
This year’s week-long celebration started with a barrio fiesta celebration on June 07 at the Philippine Embassy grounds, which was attended by around 200 Filipinos from different organizations - Atin ‘To, Baguio Support Group, Bayanihan ng Bayan ni Juan, BIBAK, Bicol Saro Association in Russia, Filipino Association in Russia, and Samahan ng Magkakaibigan at Barkada.
