In the midst of the celebration, the sudden downpour did not stop the crowd from enjoying the fiesta celebration – fitting proof of the Filipino’s resiliency and sense of fun.  Children of Embassy staff led in dancing to the song “Pinoy Ako” by the band Oranges and Lemons, leading to a spontaneous group dance by the audience, both Filipino and other nationalities.  “The rain, people and music made the occasion very memorable”, said one of the guests. One of the Embassy’s local hires Ms. Duygu Yigitsoy, said “I did not know this occasion would be very beautiful and fun! I love Philippines!” END
