18 June 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina hosted a reception on June 11 to celebrate the 117th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
In her welcome remarks, Ambassador Ma. Amelita C. Aquino highlighted the Philippine Government’s work on reform and good governance, the emerging Philippine economy, and the country’s commitment to the primacy of the rule of law.
The reception, held in an early 20th century manor house, was attended by about 200 guests from the Argentine government, business, academe, media and cultural sectors as well as the diplomatic corps and some members of the Filipino community. Guests were treated to a taste of Filipino food during the reception.END
