06 July 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in cooperation with the Filipino community in Berlin and Pastoral Team headed by Fr. Jun de Ocampo, held “Santa Misa Para sa Bayan”, a Filipino Mass for the country in celebration of the 117^th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence. Philippine Ambassador to Germany Melita Sta. Maria-Thomeczek delivered the Independence Day message of President Benigno S. Aquino III and invited kababayans to a small salu-salo hosted by the Embassy at the multipurpose hall of the Heiligeist Kirche in Bayernallee after the Mass. 

In line with the forthcoming 2016 Presidential elections, the Embassy also took the opportunity to conduct overseas voters registration during the salu-salo. END
