Statement on the 05 April 2017 DPRK Missile Launch

The Philippines expresses grave concern on the DPRK’s latest missile launch on 05 April 2017. The Philippines calls on DPRK to cease such acts of provocation. This launch clearly violates UNSC resolutions and further raises tensions and seriously undermines regional peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula. We reiterate our call on the DPRK to comply with its international obligations under relevant UN Security Council resolutions and to the process of constructive dialogue.
